Melissa's Prestigious Pawz Doggie Daycare offers trusted knowledge and proven experience when working with dogs. As an animal lover myself, I know how important it is to truly trust the people who care for our animals and pets.

 

As a child, my family raised and bred dogs in our home until I left for college. I have owned dogs my entire life and cannot imagine life without them. I have worked with many breeds of dogs and understand each of their unique lifestyles and temperaments (ranging from Fox Terriers, to Min Pins, to American Bulldogs).

I am truly dedicated and devoted to nurturing pets, and that is what let me to enter this field. I have extensive knowledge with various Dog Training Courses including Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Puppy Care, and Basic Obedience Training. Our personal experience also includes competing in ring showing events such as the Iron Dog Competition, Sports Training, and Home Protection.

 

Here at Melissa's Prestigious Pawz, we believe that you will make a longer lasting accomplishment by training the dog's mind before you try to train the dog.

 

I am proud to say that I have recently attended Cesar Millan's (The Dog Whisperer) Dog Psychology Seminar to better my training in pet relationships. At this seminar we focused on:

 

- Recognizing the "animal" behavior in dogs

- How we humanize dogs and how "people" behavior impacts "dog" behavior

- The different levels of dog energy and how that influences personality

- What dog fulfillment really is, and how we can create a balance by following simple guidelines

- Cesar's Leash Techniques
